I got a new mac. I want to migrate everything over, but instead of reinstalling the OS, to get rid of the unecessaries, and going through apple's method, and then having in reinstall the software. I thought i would use Carbon Copy Cloner and clone it. I've heard of people doing this before. two issues though:

First is i forgot the keyboard command to boot one mac in Hard drive mode (i think it's T or Apple + T?)

Second is Carbon Copy Clones isn't universal, but they do have a universal edition but that is in beta. Is this going to be a problem?

If its an intel Mac and youre copying from a PPC Mac, there is a pretty big possibility that the OS wont run, because Tiger is not UB afaik.
