Question about Bluetooth Codecs

Thinking about buying a pair of V-moda Crossfade 2 wireless headphones. They sell one version that doesn't support AptX and one slightly more expensive that does. Does the Apple TV support that codec? I ask because I prefer the color of the headphones that dont support AptX but don't want to miss out on better sound if the Apple TV does support it. Thanks in advance.
 
No, Apple devices do not support AptX. They do support AAC over Bluetooth though, which provides comparable audio quality but is less common.
