Hi guys, :)

I basically have an application which requires Windows and a minimum processor of a P4 2.5GHz. I have boot camp and I'm ready to install it on my laptop, but my laptop has a 2.33GHz processor - does anyone know how this will translate?

It's much, much faster than any PIV ever made. They did very little per clock cycle: modern CPUs are do much more per-cycle.

The Core and Core 2 are FAR faster than any Pentium, simply because, like the poster above me said, they do much more per clock cycle.

In addition to that, most of them have multiple cores, further increasing their effective performance. If your app is multi-threaded, it will probably fly on your laptop.
