i'm currently living in Asia but am returning to the US in Sept. for a 1 month visit. would it be possible to buy an iphone at the subsidized price and then terminate the contract because we're going back overseas and thus avoiding the termination fee? we were able to terminate our verizon contract last year when we first moved out. they just needed proof that we were going overseas. just curious...

Sure, why not! You got it! When you leave again, on behalf of AT&T will terminate it without fee!
