Question about Brother DCP-J4120DW

So, I recently got a Brother DCP-J4120DW multifunction printer.
It should support AirPrint and Scanning. Printing works, Mac sees it as a scanner but I get the error message "Document Feeder is empty". It works if I somehow start the Scanning process from the printer.
With AirPrint, my iPhone will find the printer but then fails at actually sending a print job.

Now, before I start fiddling with my Network and start troubleshooting this thing I wanted to ask if anybody got any experience with this device?
