Question about buying iPhone 5 on contract

I am eligible for an upgrade with Verizon, if I purchase the iPhone 5 online am I able to sell it new and sealed when I receive it and the buyer can just activate it to there number?

Assuming you accept the terms and conditions of the upgrade and the contract is renewed on your line, you can do whatever you want with the phone.

They shouldn't (unless the phone gets reported as stolen/lost or something like that, for example, which shouldn't be the case here).
