Will people be able to go into Apple stores on launch day and buy a carrier iPhone outright without carrier info?

I bought an unlocked Verizon iPhone 6 Plus at retail last year during launch with no issues. In and out in 5 minutes. I was never asked about which carrier I had etc....
This might be that the phone was unlocked, So I can't speak for other carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint.

The Verizon one is exactly the one I'm looking to get. I just didn't know if the store process was the same as the online process with them needing carrier info to buy. Even when it's outright for some reason.

The main requirement is having the money. I asked for an unlocked 6+ and they brought me a T-Mo phone which I have used without flaw on the ATT network.
