Question about Buzzing sound from right side of new Macbook Pro

Hi guys,

I'm a long-time lurker, first time poster, and I just got a new SR Macbook Pro. I noticed that there is a faint buzzing sound coming from the right side. It is basically inaudible when there is other ambient noise in the room, but when it is quiet I can hear it pretty clearly. I took it to the Genius Bar and the guy said that he couldn't hear anything even when he took it to the back room.

Is this a problem that I can get fixed by contacting AppleCare, or am I just being a little too anal about something that is a nonissue?

Mine is currently in repair at applecare for this exact reason.

Is this noise related to the display brightness? E.g. does it go away when you turn off the backlight? If so, you might check this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/465864/

No, the noise is definately coming from the fan. It's a dull buzzing noise that constantly occurs, and gets louder as the fan speed increases. It's not the normal fan noise from speed-progression. It's very loud and obnoxious. It's currenty at the "diagnosing" phase at Applecare.
