Ok, in step 5, it says:

"Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep for five hours or more."

Does this mean i can turn it off, then immediately turn it on and proceed to step 6, or that i have to let it sit for 5 hours regardless?

Thanks everyone

It should be interpreted as: "Turn off the computer for five hours or more or allow it to sleep for five hours or more."

after the mb is forced into sleep let it sit for 5h(u dont have to turn it off)
6.After it has slept 4 5hours plug it in and let it charge all the way
7 after its charged u can use ur computer

When it gives you the 1 minute warning it will 'Force Sleep' it is during this sleep that the reserve Li-Ion is being consumed. 5 hours of this sleep and the pulsating light will finally shut-off. You know now that the battery is prime for calibration.
