(Hopefully this is the right forum to post this.)

Hey everyone,

So recently I bought my first car. And today I bought a navigation system with a ventilation mount. Unfortunately, the mount broke down the moment I tried to clip it onto the vent. Now I have a tiny spring and a small piece of plastic inside the vent.

The million dollars question is - is this going to damage any part of my car?

Thanks in advance,

Arganos0

If it's just barely inside the vent and stays there, I can't see it being a problem.

The only real moving parts it could encounter are either the fan itself, or a damper mechanism (such as the one which switches from defrost, vent, or floor). The spring would have to travel a LONG way through the duct to cause that problem.
