If I’m within the window of adding Applecare+, can I cancel the AC+ with theft and loss, and then put the regular AC+ on?

I’ve never bought the AC+ with theft and loss, but decided to do it on my 12 because I’m getting more up there in price, and it would be just about right for me to misplace a phone for the first time ever.

Now I’m second-guessing myself and feeling like it’s unnecessary - thinking of just having the regular AC+ like I typically have.

So is that possible? Can I just cancel in my subscriptions then add the other, or do I have to call in?

Im in the opposite. I want to add apple care + lost or stolen.

I added the theft and loss option this time around (upgrade every year and always get ac+ regular). I figured for the extra $70 it will help make a crappy situation be a little less crappy. Think of how much it would suck to lose your phone, and then think how much it would suck to spend another $1,000 + to replace it. Also, you'll have to pay for another ac+ subscription if you don't have theft and loss on your first phone! The extra $70 is worth it to me on a $1300 phone (12pm 256).

All that said, I have never had to use an incident on my ac+ subscriptions. Some may think it's a waste of money but I enjoy the peace of mind and I'm not as protective over my phone being damaged.

To answer OP's question, I imagine you could within 60 days. You will probably have to contact Apple via chat or phone through to get them to do it.

Just keep it! It’s not that much of a price difference but will save your butt if you need it! And I mean save your butt! Lol

There's an option to add applecare+ on my iphone 12 and 12 Pro but is that apple care+ with theft or lost?
