Question about Clean Install

I currently have Yosemite PB2 and I wanted to install the final version while wiping the previous beta remnants.

I've seen things about a clean install but does that wipe the entire drive and all my files? I would just want it to wipe any old OS remnants.

i would just wait for the update to show up that should remove all previous betas data. If not clean install I am going to update when it's available.
