I was so stupid in not asking before doing it. But when cleaning the trarckpad area rather than sprying the cleaner onto the cloth I sprayed it directly onto it.

Wondering if there was a way the cleaner my have gotten though the trackpad. No issues as of now.

With my 06 I would just directly spray it but the trackpad wasn't like it is now and this is my first macbook with the alumnium design and glass trackpad.

I think you should be fine if you sprayed it directly to the trackpad. I always spray the cleaner onto my cleaning cloth before cleaning the inside of my Macbook, but for the outer shell I usually spray directly to that.

All the electronics cleaners I've seen specifically mention to spray you cloth, not whatever you're washing.

I'm surprised your old '06 was not damaged by your spraying of liquids directly on the trackpad, the crack between the button and touch surface was an easy entry way for liquids.
