In 10.2, whenever i do it, it saves the desktop snap shot as a PDF. I want it to save as a JPEG. how can i do this? i can't find anything in system prefs that changes it.. so is there a way i can change it to jpg? thnxs in advance

Snapshot

I don't remember where you can change that in the OS, but if you download TinkerTool it is one of the settings you can change. The options in OS X.1 are TIFF, JPG, PNG or PICT. I am not sure why it would be saving as a PDF.

In the latest version of tinker tool that works in both 10.1 and 10.2, in 10.2 the option to change the screen cap format is grayed out :(
