Alright, I have already moved all of my iTunes music from my Mac Mini's internal hard drive to an external hard drive to save space (shown on left). My question is, what else should I be moving and/or copying to the external hard drive other than the main "iTunes Music" folder.

In other words, should I also be copying the iTunes Library LIB file, the iTunes music library.xml, artwork, iTunes library genius.itb (shown on right) or do I just leave those on the Mac Mini's hard drive?

The only folder I copied over was the main folder with the MP3 files in it.

Pretty n00b question, but whatever. Thanks.

alright, thanks. i think i'm starting to get it. what is this "previous iTunes libraries" file I see here? can this be deleted or should I just keep everything that's in the main iTunes folder?

i just copied all the files in the window on the right to the external HD. it can't hurt, right?

Well if you just move the music folder iTunes won't know where the music is at. If you use iTunes to move the music then it will know where to find the music and also keep your playlists and play count info.
