Ok so the iPhone 8/8+ is wireless charging enabled out of the box. Hurray. About time. Etc etc. And fast wireless charging is being enabled later on via a software update. A little odd, but ok.

Now, my questions are: What is the current max that the iPhone 8/8+ can receive? And what is the expecting max after the software update? I only ask because I was lead to believe that the current max is 7.5w, and that is being increased later. But I've just read that the current max is 5w and it is being increased to 7.5w.

Just looking for some transparency on this as my current wireless charger kicks out a max 10w. If this update isn't gonna push beyond that then I won't need to upgrade the charger.
