Question about delivery time

So I ordered a new MBP on Monday and I was told that the estimated delivery after the order was built was 3 days. So 3 days to build the machine and 3 days to ship it, but on the account management screen there is an estimated delivery of the 17th - 20th July. Which is about 11-14 days from ordering the laptop.

Is this normal? Just seems an awfully long time after I was given an estimate of 6/7 days.

You said 3 days to build it and 3 days to ship it, is 6 business days. When it's status is changed to "shipped" it's handed to carrier and that will take another few days that carrier ships it to your city and delivers it.

I think, it's correct

Add to the above the fact that Apple may be having trouble meeting demand.
