I am currently a Nokia n95 user who is looking to upgrade to the iPhone. Here's the catch - my work pays for the AT&T service and I'm not about to shell out $700 for a new 3Gs as I am not a current customer. I'm wondering if I can do the following:

1) Sign up for an account at the $199 Pricing
2) Activate with the new SIM card
3) Cancel the Data Plan immediately
4) Swap my AT&T 3G SIM from my Nokia N95 to the iPhone 3Gs
5) Cancel the voice plan after 30 days

Total Cost == $199 + $175 Early Termination + 35 for Activation + 70 for one month?

$479

Is this possible?

Anyone?

I fail to see the point.
You need to provide more info.
Are you going use this iPHone on ATT?
Their monthly sweeps will show you are using an iPhone 3GS and add the data plan to your account.

I'm on a corp account with a data plan already -- I just want to try to get an iPhone cheaper than $700 unsubsidized. Yes, I'm on AT&T. After Activation, I would swap the SIM immediately to my Corp account SIM.
