The Mojave version of the DVD player has been updated. It used to be whenever I inserted a disc the program would ask if I wanted to play where I left off, or play from the beginning. This is no longer the case in Mojave and it just auto plays where I last left off. Is there a way to have that dialogue box appear again under Mojave or not? Yes I still have a need for DVD's as some old TV show documentaries are not available digitally as they were produced during the full screen VHS years, so the DVD player is still very handy for watching such shows.

dont have to explain why you still need to use DVDs, we all have rights to use anything we want.
I dont use DVDs but I do use CRT for some specific works.

I cant find any useful technical support for DVD players for Mojave so I cant directly help you, but do you mind using old DVD player? if not try get a copy from high sierra to see if it works in Mojave (I still have memories of using front row.app from Snow Leopard in Mavericks)

The High Sierra DVD Player doesn’t work in Mojave. It seems there’s no way to have the option to start from the beginning or continue where it left off anymore. So I guess the only solution is the menu button.
