I sold my iphone yesterday and the person paid via paypal and it says that the echeque will take a few days to clear and not to send the item until then. I don't exactly understand what it means by 'echeque not cleared'? Does that mean the money is in but needs to be cleared like a cheque?

An "e-check" is just like a virtual paper check, make sure you let it clear 3-5 days, as the same rules apply to "e-checks" as they do the real ones.

It's not as instant as sending via credit card / instant transfer, but the fees are less.

Hope this helps.

Always make sure it clears before you send the item to the buyer. That way you have the money and you know they aren't going to screw you for all you're worth...
