Hopefully this is a simple one.

So I have an iPhone 5s with the latest iOS. I have two email accounts, one is an educational one, the other is my iCloud one. Sometimes I like to send calendar invites for meetings to people who also have education email address so we are on the same page. When I send these invites it just shows an email for them and then the calendar isn't added, though I can see that they accepted the invite.

I imagine the problem is that by default my calendar invites are from my iCloud account.

Any insight into this?

Thank you!

Edit- they can't see or have the event updated on their calendar, which is the problem

Educational accounts hosted by Outlook.com? You don't mean Exchange do you?

I'm not sure what the behavior of Outlook.com hosted domains is in regards to calendar invites.

Yes exchange, sorry.

The problem I think is iOS. I'm just not sure how to choose which email I send calendar invites from

Yeah, which is why I think it's strange. They end up getting an email from email@me.com instead of my school@blank.edu.

They hit accept, after opening the email (which goes to a webpage) and then it shows accepted on the event for me, but doesn't appear on their calendars.

They also have the calendar enabled on their phone. That was the first thing I checked.

Are you sure the event is in your educational account?

There is no setting for "default calendar invites"...just a setting for default calendar.

I have an Exchange account with email and calendars on my iPhone. I also have a Google account with those. The Google account is my default for both email and calendar.

When I create a new calendar event and change the calendar it's in to "Exchange", the invites are sent from my Exchange email account.

One thing...you might have to change the event's calendar, save, then go back in and send the invite. I haven't tried it without doing that.

Yes be sure the event is set for the Exchange account, then do the invite.
