Hi guys
I'm a current AT&T subscriber but I'm considering switching to Sprint. I have one iPhone 4S on my line that's under contract and another non-smartphone that's not under contract and eligible for a free upgrade.
If I switch to Sprint and buy a new iPhone 5, is it possible to port the number from the non-smartphone to the iPhone 4S and kill the non-smartphone plan without incurring an ETF? (Basically, the line with the free upgrade is going to take over my old iPhone and it's data plan.)
Second... what happens in a month when, if for some reason, that phone doesn't work out and the user wants to switch back down to a non-smartphone again (maybe their old phone or something else...)? What would AT&T do? Charge the ETF then (even though the customer is still staying with AT&T, just switching phone types to one that doesn't need a data plan?)
Thanks in advance!
