Question about exporting to Apple tv in Quicktime Pro.

I'm about to purchase an apple tv and i've found a way to convert my .avi collection for the apple tv using quicktime pro's "export to apple tv".

My question is, will there be any quality lost by doing this? If tho, is there a better solution to get all my .avi movies streaming to my apple tv?

I cannot speak to the quality of your export path as I haven't tried it but I've been delighted with VisualHub for it's ability to transcode .avi, .mkv and all the other formats to excellent AppleTV-compatible files.
