I just got a 6s and, after restoring my backup, I wiped my 6. I read this morning that I should have turned off iMessage and iCloud before I wiped the device (I did turn off Find My iPhone). Is this really necessary after a factory wipe? I am selling my 6 and I don't want to have issues with someone getting my iCloud or iMessage data. Thanks.

It's not necessary after you do erase all settings and content. However, double check on the icloud lock thing, follow this just to be sure: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201351
