Question about FCPX, Dgpu, Igpu, and intel quick sync

Hi everyone. In preparation for the new MBP launch I have been researching into what kind of specs I would need. The machine would primarily be used for video editing exported as h.264 1080p. My question is about how much the Dgpu will affect export times and general performance because FCPX can utilize Gpu acclaeration. With intel quick sync for exporting h.264 is only the Igpu used or does the Dgpu still have an effect? If someone with more knowledge could give a general explanation of how all of these things work that would be great. Thank you in advance and let me know if there is anything I can clarify.
