Question about file vault

i remember reading when panther first came out that file vault could get corrupted and ruin all your files if an error occurred. I had heard apple was working to fix this. Does anyone know if this is resolved fully? I really wanted/want to use this feature but shyed away because of the problems it had.

It was fixed with 10.3.1.

Still seems to work fine in 10.3.4. I've used it since 10.3.0 and didn't have any major trouble, even before the fix came with 10.3.1.
