Question about Final Cut Express and Aperture

Hi guys I am buying a new laptop tomorrow and I wanted to know if the gpu in a macbook pro effects the performance of Final Cut Express and Aperture 2. Price doesn't matter, because its either a blackbook or low/middle end macbook pro. I don't know if the programs are cpu intensive or GPU, can you help me? Thanks
