Question about Final Cut Pro

I've got some clips in a sequence that are 23.976 frames per second, but Final Cut keeps acting like their 29.97 frames per second, and it won't let me set it to 23.976 no matter what, so I'm stuck with some herky-jerky looking clips at 29.97 fps. Can someone help me? Thanks.
