Just upgraded to Mojave on both my imac and Macbook Pro.
I've noticed that in Safari it is possible to go to a flash website and it will not allow me to use flash. Instead it pops up a little window in the middle of the screen with options to allow the use of flash, but clicking on these options does absolutely nothing. It is a non working window (one where the clicking doesn't even push the animated button in). This happens on my imac but the Macbook Pro works fine. Both Chrome and Firefox work just fine in the same sites.
I have made sure flash is installed properly, I have checked the Safari preferences and made sure flash is allowed and flash WILL work in other websites. It just seems that in some, Safari will just not allow it. But again, it DOES do so on my Macbook Pro.
Anyone have any idea what is going on? Both installs were NOT clean installs. I have been considering redoing the install on the imac as a clean install but everything else is working just fine and I am not sure it's worth it. I don't usually use Safari anyway, I prefer Chrome and Firefox, but I just wonder why I am having the problem and maybe it's a symptom of other problems that I am not yet aware of.
Thanks an advance for any help anyone can give me.

Sounds peculiar. Same version of Safari and macOS? Same version of Flash? And just to check, when you say it's enabled; If you go to Safari Preferences -> Websites and scroll down to Flash, the relevant websites are set to allow?

Just a heads up that Flash is deprecated and will officially be end of life by the end of 2020

Yes, I ugraded to Mojave on the two computers one day after the other. Downloaded the newest version of flash on the Imac but didn't have to do anything on the Macbook Pro because it just worked. Websites are set to allow, yes.
Only difference is the Imac is a 2017 and the Macbook Pro is a 2012 (but that's the one that works).
Yes I know about flash being phased out and normally I would just ignore the whole thing but as I said in my original post, I have no way of knowing if something else is not working correctly as well. So I am curious about what's going on.
I just MAY do the Imac over again with a clean install but I am SOOO hesitant to do so as everything SEEMS to be working fine. The thought of reinstalling all my programs, setting, drivers and all just seems daunting at this point.

Instead of reinstalling everything, maybe just start off reinstalling Flash entirely?

Flash is beyond obsolete. I'm obligated to suggest that you uninstall it completely and move on as the rest of the internet has done.
Completely agree...
However, there are times when we are not allowed to. My employer has business application in Flash so I have to have Flash installed.

Do Chrome and Firefox use the same flash install as Safari?
In other words, if Flash isn't installed for use in Safari, is it still possible that flash websites can still be used using Chrome or Firefox? Do they use their own specific plugins for flash?

Chrome bundles their own version of Adobe Flash. Firefox should use the same plug-in as Safari. As far as I know, all major browsers (incl. Safari, Firefox, Chrome) will remove Flash support before the end of 2020.

except if you rely on a site that has flash, this could be an issue..
