Did Apple state what time friday the device would go on sale?
Because, last year since they didn't allow preorders so I had to wait in line at Best Buy from 10 AM until it went on sale at 5 PM.
Is it 5 PM again? Or just whenever Apple Store/Best Buy/etc. open?

Btw I don't need a "Should of preordered lecture"
I did preorder and mine will be here friday morning via FedEx.
However a friend of mine didn't preorder so I'm trying to find out for him.

Thanks :)

They did not. I wouldn't assume a particular time. If you work a job that allows for days off, and it's important enough to you, I'd just take the day and get a good night sleep on Thursday. Be prepared for anything. We'll know more as the week grows old.

If you want opinions, I'm feeling 5pm might be a solid bet. It worked very well last year.

If it's 8AM I'd suggest anyone queuing at Best Buy or an Apple Store that are going for the 16GB model get there several hours in advance, because that model goes fast.

If you are going to wait in line and you have to have one, then you need to have the funding to buy the most expensive model and just hope they have the one you actually want. You are not only competing against those standing in line but those who ordered for pick-up.
