Hi.
I bought my MacBook Pro on the 29th of April this year, however I never registered it until a few hours ago.
Does it count, and will I be able to get a copy of lion for free??

Apologies if this is a stupid question :D

probably not, it's going to go by the receipt date when you purchased the mac not when you decided to register it.

Also buying from a 3rd party (ie. a used machine) or receiving it after the keynote as a "gift" is not going to qualify you either.

nope ur gonna have to pay the 29 bucks for lion (i think it was 29, correct me if im wrong, all i know that it was cheap)

if you can afford a macbook pro, you can afford the lion upgrade when it comes out in july.

doesn't it get registered as soon as you boot up for the first time and follow the prompts?

is this real life?

i'm not the thread starter. o.o

@Dark Void My gosh I am so sorry. I've been looking through some old MR forum posts and I've found that I used to be a complete idiot...I'm a real "iphonedev" now (sounds like such a bad username now) who actually understands how forums work...

Lol I hate reading through my old posts and seeing how much of a ranting idiot I was... :D

Haha remembering a login after 3 years is commendable... :)
