Question about Google Sync and battery life

At the moment, I have the normal Gmail interface set up on my iphone. The reason I haven't set up google sync is because i'm not sure how this can affect battery life.

Is the battery drain huge if you have everything from google sync synced? I have heard that push drains it considerably.

Not really noticeable for me.
I have Gmail and Hotmail set on Exchange sync so e-mails are pushed instantly to the phone.


Not much hit on the battery too.
