Question about Hard Drive Swapping.

Hey guys,

I have an broken macbook pro (water damage) and I wanted to know if it would be safe to take the hard drive out of it. And put it in my new macbook pro. They are both the same 13 inch unibody design.

My friend gave me a terabyte hard drive so I was thinking I'd put all my lost music and pictures on that. Then put my new blank hard drive back in my new macbook.

Does anyone think this is possible?

Yes, unless the hard drive was damaged by the spill.

That is what im not sure about. If by any chance it is damaged. Will the damaged harddrive mess up anything on my new computer after connect it?

If you want to be safe, you can get a $20 USB-SATA enclosure kit and use the drive as an external.
