so i just bought the new mac and it says on the box 250gb hard drive. But i went to bootcamp to partition and it says my hard drive is only 200gb also in my hd window it says free space of like 180gb. I dont have alot on the computer so shouldn't I have around 230 free space? i'm confused it says 250 but seems only 200 available.

After formatting etc, the 250 will only be about 232, then you have to take off the volume used by OS X and any aps you have. The final figure is going to be below 200Gb at the start.
