Question about HDD enclosure

I am getting this enclosure because I found it for $10 at a local shop, and it's USB 3, so just in case Apple decides to adopt the standard, I'm future-proofed. Can anyone tell me whether it will support the thicker 12.5mm drives?

find out how much 0.5" is in metric, with a units converter. Then subtract 2-4 mm. It shud help a bit
