I want to get a shuffle for myself but I'd like to know in what sequence the music is played. Is everything in random order or can I make a playlist of let's say 100 songs and put them in the exact order I want so it will play back that way. I've had 4 iPods but really have no clue how the Shuffle works.

There is a slider that switches it from shuffle to non shuffle in which case it will just play the 100 songs in order.

The shuffle is alot of fun. I should go for it if i weree you , but you could get the nano aswell.
Basically the shuffle does not have a screen wich turns some people away , but it is ultra portable. And also , it does not have a Click-Wheel ( and the click wheel is ALOT of fun ) which most ipods have. So its really the entry model.
