I've just made a home movie and I burn it via iDVD and to my dismay the DVD won't play on my DVD player. I have Toast but can I use that by just dragging the iMovie file to the Toast burn screen? I don't mean to sound like a noob but this has been troubling me

I take it the DVD will play in your Mac's DVD drive?

It may be that your DVD player doesn't like DVD-r discs. A lot of the earlier and/or cheaper players won't play them.

I use iDVD fairly regularly and they play in my PS2 and other drives.

You can archive an iDVD project to disc, which is, I think, a VIDEO_TS folder, which you can then burn in Toast as a DVD.

Check the original disc in a few other players first.
