Hi, I have two iphone 5S models. One is activated, and the other is not. With the one that is not activated, I can still read my email when I am connected to wifi. If I turn on Imessages on the non-activated phone, and sign in with my apple ID, can I also Imessage with that non-activated phone when I am connected to wifi?

Thanks!

Yup cuz iMessage goes thru the Internet and not carrier data like regular text. Now what I can't answer is whether you'll get iMessages on both devices. I'm curious to know. I'm guessing yes since iMessages can be shared amongst various Apple os devices like iPad and MacBook.

Yes you will get the messages on both devices for the reason you pointed out. I have an iMac, MBA, iPad, iPhone 6 and iPhone 4 connected to my iCloud and iMessages. I get the messages on all the devices.

Nice! Many thanks for clarifying.

Does the iPhone 4 also get the regular non iMessage texts too?
