Question about Internet on Blackberries

I'm thinking about getting a blackberry from T-Mobile, but the answer to this question will decide it for me.

Can you use it to get a laptop online? Can you use bluetooth or do you have to use a cable?

I would get the Internet only service because I don't really use my phone as a phone eek: ), it's all text messaging and e-mail.

Yes you can. I used an IT guy's Blackberry to get my laptop online while a new office was being set up.

On a serious note... I would actually use it enough to justify having one, and my parents know that. But I would still have to talk to them about it.

Yep. I've done it with my BB Pearl when my oh so reliable Charter cable goes out

You use Bluetooth, can't tether with a cable. Works great, although its a bit on the slow side.
