Question about iphone 8 plus spigen ultra hybrid case?

I want a clear case for when I get a 8+ but since the back is glass I want to have a little more protection. In the options on amazon theres a "Crystal clear" option or a black option and the black option has a black bumper around the case. Would this add more protection compared to the "Crystal clear" Im confused?

I’ve had these.
All of them have a bumper around the case, the color names signifies the color of the bumper. All of the back are clear regardless of colors.

You can always look at photos ppl post on the amazon site and ask whoever bought the items directly via amazon- they are usually pretty good at responding
