Just out of curiousity, if you were to have 4 iPhones on a family plan, would the $30 data plan be expanded to all 4 phones or just 1? So if you were to pay the $100 for 4 phones for minutes, 1500 texts at $15 and the data plan for $30, would that be the same funcionality on all 4 iPhones?

lol im pretty sure you have to buy 4 data plans

so you looking at

minutes for all: $100
1500 txt for all: $15
data for 4: (4 X $30) $120

so you looking to pay like over 250 with taxes etc

Each iPhone requries an individual iPhone data plan there is not data sharing with the iPhone. However, the Messaging for FamilyTalk is a shared feature.
