the other day I spent 38 hours in my hospitals ER dungeon and I had phone calls to make.

I have a iPhone XS MAX and Apple Watch 4 cellular financed through T-mobile
All calls failed and I could only text to other iPhones.
I tried connecting to the hospital WiFi and enabled WiFi calling (I’m guessing the hospital IT debt blocked the ports). I also tried T-mobile’s digits and google voice

Since I used the emergency SOS feature I had my mom and sister calling and I had a doctors appointment I had to cancel. I had a 20 buck prepaid android cell phone that was able to make calls.

Since my iPhone is on T-Mobile which I think uses other then CDMA and the android phone was useing virgin alantic a CDMA carrier. I was wondering if the iPhone XS Max has duel radios and I could use ESims to have a emergency cdma carrier on it. I know T-Mobile doesn’t support esim but if I could use it with another carrier so I don’t have to carry around a cheap android phone
