A few weeks ago clicked on an S/MIME ps7 file that was posted in a Telegram chat group, which was then downloaded in my Files folder on my iPhone. I attempted to open it but could not. I just deleted it from my phone a few days ago. Another member became suspicious of the member who posted that file, as he was asking for people to provide personal information. I have a weird feeling about this file now.

My question is whether this SMIME file could possibly be some spyware program that is now allowing him to monitor everything that happens on my phone. Is there any way to inspect my phone for this?

Any informed advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

It's an encrypted Outlook email. Someone who doesn't understand how Outlook works probably tried to drag and drop an email.

Edit: Or at least it is an encryption certificate for Outlook e-mails. At any rate I wouldn't worry about it.
