i'm gettin an ipod pretty soon, and i'm wonderin... i've got more music than that thing can hold, so is there a way to put only the music i want on it manually? or somethin like that? what software would i need to do it with?
thanx for your help,
seth

yes, you choose the playlists you want to synch. unfortunately doing this way, the playcount's do not filter back into itunes. i would say it's a bug, but other's may disagree.

You can also run it in full manual "sync", means you have to copy each batch over separately, and delete tunes seperately, but you can do it all in iTunes.

Click on the iPod icon in iTunes and set it from there.
