My friend is thinking of getting a Ipad 3 but he wants to know is it easy to jailbreak a Ipad?

When he buys a Ipad should he first jailbreak without doing any official updates?

Will the Ipad 3 be able to downgrade if the shop sell it updated that can not get jailbreak?

Sorry I don't know a lot about Ipads.

The new iPad at iOS 5.1.1 can be jail broken very easy. If you want a jail broken iPad now is the time to get it! When Apple releases a new firmware/iOS it is any bodies guess as to if it will be jail breakable and when. If having a jailbroken device is important to you get it now while Apple is still signing iOS 5.1.1

If there is a new iOS/firmware that can not be jailbroken, it is very unlikely you will be able to downgrade it. To be able to downgrade at this point you need SHSH blobs that only can be obtained while that iOS is current, and each and every device requires a different SHSH blob. So even if you had a SHSH blob for a new iPad, it wouldn't work on the exact same version of the new iPad for some one else.

Right now if you can master plugging your new iPad into your computer and run a program you can jailbreak. It has never been easier. It's anyone's guess how long this will last.
