Question about keyboard

Say your in a text message typing and after you send it you want the keyboard to go away so you can see more of the message field. Is there anyway for it to get dropped down like the iPad.

I know I can back out of the message and go back and the keyboard wont be there, but it would be nice to be able to do within the text.

Dont think the stock message app allows this.. but BiteSMS does.
