oddly enough, i do not have a mac account. 
i need one to redeem itunes gift cards and to get apps on my iphone. i have searched this site and haven't found a clear answer to my questions yet so here it goes:
1. what is a mac account, i know it used to be .mac but now
2. i know it asks for a credit card when you sign up, but is there anyway to not put in credit card info? (i'm 15 and i don't have a credit card) however, if needed, i have access to parents.
3. does it cost anything to make an account?
4. is there anyway to bypass making an account to redeem itunes cards?
