I have a 2016 m5 Macbook, and I was wondering if it's safe to dock the MacBook in my 12 South Bookarc and keep it hooked to an external monitor for use. I wanted to make sure it won't do damage to the laptop by keeping it docked all the time and keeping the USB-C adapter plugged in...

The only thing you would be damaging by using the MacBook like this is the battery life. The battery life will degrade quicker if the battery is not "exercised" (discharged and recharged) regularly and left plugged in constantly.

Something like Fruit Juice will keep an eye on your battery usage and recommend when to unplug the MacBook for a few hours to let the battery discharge.

I use mine clamshell plugged in most weekdays for work. I unplug and during weekends when I'm not using, actually turn of the switch to power strip, and usually one day a week, like now, sitting on the couch running off battery.
