My friend wants to install bootcamp on his 13" Macbook Pro but he doesn't have the discs that came with it. I was wondering if I could let him borrow my discs for my 15" Macbook Pro, or would that be a compatibility problem?

Grey install discs are system specific so your disc does not work. Tell him to call Apple and ask for replacement discs, they only cost 20 bucks or so
As long is your Mac is at least as new as his, the drivers on your disc should be sufficient. If not, they might work after Boot Camp has been updated through Apple Software Update.
