i have a 13inch macbook pro, (unibody) with a measly 160 gb hard drive. i was wondering if there was a way i could upgrade my hard drive? i'm kinda a noob, so please forgive my ignorance in this. thanks

ps - there is this extremely irritating "clicking" noise that comes from my computer all the time when i carry or move my laptop. anyone know what that is.. its so annoying:mad:

Yeah, the installation of a new harddrive is extremely easy in a MBP. You need to make sure you have a T9 Torx screw driver though. You need that to install the new drive into the casing that holds it firmly into the laptop.

A T9 Torx screwdriver can be purchased at most hardware stores, including Home Depot, for under $5.

Clicking noise you hear

That noise is the hard drive parking heads most likely. It is trying to save you from data loss as you move your laptop around.

Everyone does it, but you really should not move a laptop around much when it is running. Put it to sleep is the best practice before moving it.
